JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Analyze market size, trends, competitor activities, consumer sentiment, spending habits, buying power, sales opportunities, and cost structure data for new store openings using Excel and Google Analytics and report to department director and management.
2. Measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies through A/B testing and ROI analysis using tools like Google Analytics and simple spreadsheet calculations.
3. Develop and implement means of collecting data, including designing and distributing opinion polls, surveys, and questionnaires using SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, and Google Forms.
4. Examine historical data using SQL and Excel to determine sales volumes and assess demand fluctuations over previous years.
5. Identify peaks in demand for specific markets using basic data analysis and visualization in Excel.
6. Analyze profitability, Point of Sale (POS) data, retail margins, and costs of goods using Excel and analytical tools including Microsoft Power BI and SAS.
7. Monitor and analyze competitor new launches and consumer reactions using competitive analysis tools including SEMrush, Ahrefs, and social listening tools including Brandwatch and Hootsuite.
8. Conduct analysis of consumer trends using basic statistical techniques in Excel.
9. Identify top consumer targets by region using geographic information system (GIS) software including ArcGIS and demographic analysis tools.
10. Convert findings and complex analyzed data into tables, graphs, and written reports using Excel, Power BI and Google Sheets.
11. Use CRM to keep and update customer and vendor information, generate and review reports on customer and vendor activities and ensure data integrity and accuracy on the CRM.
12. Regularly communicate with and negotiate deals with current vendors to secure the best prices and terms for goods and services, conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential vendors, develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in the Related Occupation.
